Overview - Google Workspace Admins Technical Summit

This online series of training sessions will cover the areas of the Console most relevant to today’s EDU Workspace Admins. From setup and provisioning, to security practices and Chrome management, this Summit will have you ready to take on challenges and align your domain better with EDU best practices.

All sessions will be recorded for participants incase of absence

• Session 1 - Workspace Setup & Provisioning Learn key aspects of configuring your Workspace for Education domain. We will cover additional domain names, creating an Organizational structure that sets up success, creating user accounts and groups. The session will finish with securing access to your Admin console, leveraging your support options when you have issues and staying on top of the constant flow of G Suite updates.
• Session 2 - Services, Settings, Citizenship & Remote Learning Proper control and management of the Workspace core and additional services is imperative for schools working in Google for Education. Learn best practices to deliver and configure these services to optimize staff and student success. Create safe learning spaces for students within these tools and empower students and staff to be effective remote learners.
• Session 3 - Chrome & Device Management Chrome is the glue that holds together the device agnostic, cloud-powered, dynamic learning environment we create for our students. Find out what you need to know to ensure Chrome is working well for you across all your platforms from Chromebooks to the desktop browser. From enrolling devices to delivering key apps and extensions this session will make sure your environment is ready to harness the power of Chrome.
• Session 4 - EDU Workspace Security, Data Privacy & Vault Securing account access, preventing phishing infiltrations and ensuring proper sharing and control of student and district data is vital to today’s EDU Workspace Administrator. Arm yourself with the right tools and knowledge to secure your Workspace environment, keep sharing under control and limit who and where your users can connect 3rd party apps to your Workspace data.
